About

I’m Amber- the hands, heart, and imagination behind LRAEclay. Inspired by a lifelong love of art and nature, I create jewelry that transforms the beauty of moths and butterflies into wearable pieces of art. What began as a creative outlet has grown into my passion and full-time work at LRAEclay.

Creativity runs in my family, my grandmother was an illustrator, and she passed that love of art down to me. During lockdown, I started working with clay as a fun way to spend time with my kids. My husband suggested I try making a luna moth, and I quickly fell in love with the process.

Nature is where I feel most at home, often pausing to photograph the tiny details others might overlook. Moths, with their earthy tones and intricate patterns, fascinate me even more than butterflies. Creating canes feels like piecing together a delicate puzzle - every line, shift of color, and tiny spot placed with care until the design comes to life. My work is rooted in precision, patience, and a deep love for the natural world.

Every piece I make is a tribute to the intricate details found in nature - crafted with precision, earth tones, and a deep appreciation for the quiet beauty of insects. Through my work, I hope to share that fascination and invite others to see these creatures in a new light.

+ Every pair of earrings is designed with comfort, durability, and beauty in mind. I use only high-quality, hypoallergenic hardware — including gold-filled, titanium, and stainless steel gold-plated options — to ensure they’re gentle on sensitive ears, resistant to tarnish, and made to last. This means you can enjoy your jewelry for years to come without irritation or fading.
